James Wernke Body Found in California Creek

The body of baseball star James Wernke was found in a creek in Fullerton, California. The 21-year-old, who had a baseball scholarship to Cal State Long Beach, was last seen Saturday afternoon walking his girlfriend’s dog near the creek during a rain storm.

Authorities believe Wernke and the dog fell in to the creek. There were no signs of foul play. No other details were available.
