Allen’s Flowers and Plants, a local San Diego florist with multiple locations and recent recipient of the Best San Diego Florist by the San Diego Union Tribune for the fourth consecutive year, reminds San Diego residents that the La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival on December 8th is a great way to kickoff the holiday season.
This is the 56th year that La Jolla has been hosting this free, family holiday event. It runs from 2pm to 5pm. The theme this year is “Christmas in the Surf and Sand.” Attracting more than 20,000 visitors and participants, the event kicks off at Girard Avenue in La Jolla. This year includes floats, vintage cars, bands and equestrian teams. Santa Claus will also make an appearance and will be available for photos at the Recreation Center at 3:30pm. There will also be a flyover by some antique aircraft. The Christmas tree lighting will be at 4:30pm.
The floral design team at Allen’s Flower and Plants is also inspired by all the holiday decorations, helping them to create some stunning Christmas floral arrangements, Christmas centerpieces, Christmas garlands and Christmas wreaths.
