Halle Berry, the Academy Award, Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award-winning actress, has received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Berry became the 2,333rd star to earn her spot on the storied California walkway.
Berry, 40, became the first African-American actress to win an Oscar as Best Actress for her role in “Monster’s Ball” with Billy Bob Thornton. Before winning the Academy Award, Berry earned a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy in 2000 for her role as Dorothy Dandridege in “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge.”
Getting her big-screen break in 1991s Spike Lee film “Jungle Fever” Berry went on to film “Boomerang” with Eddie Murphy the following year. In 1998, the former first runner-up in the Miss USA Pageant starred alongside Warren Beatty in “Bulworth.”
Among her other films are: “X-Men,” “Swordfish,” “Die Another Day,” “X2,” “Gothica,” and “X-Men: The Last Stand.”
