Philippines Evacuating Thousands Due to Possible Mayon Volcano Eruption

Philippines authorities began evacuating residents living around the Mayon Volcano Tuesday. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said an eruption is imminent.

Lava was flowing down the sides of the Mayon on Tuesday. A mandatory evacuation has been ordered for 45 towns and cities within a 3.7 mile radius of Mayon.
