The Lima Stock Exchange's broad General index ended 0.52% higher at 14213.36. The Selective blue-chip index ended 0.65% higher at 22675.01.
Peru’s currency, the sol, ended at PEN2.878 against the dollar, weakened since yesterdays close of PEN2.873. Still, this year the sol has strengthened by 8.23 percent against the dollar.
