Wholesale Furniture Brokers' Black Friday & Cyber Monday Report

Visitors on Wholesale Furniture Brokers' USA and Canada websites between Black Friday and Cyber Monday increased compared to the same days in 2008 as projected. The combined traffic volume from Black Friday and Cyber Monday increased by 12% on the USA website and increased by 48% on the Canada website. From Black Friday to Cyber Monday, the combined sales volume increased by 211% on the USA website and decreased by 1% on the Canadian website compared to the same days last year. Cyber Monday had the highest sales volume for the USA website while Black Friday had the highest for the Canadian website. "Overall, our sales starting from Black Friday and ending on Cyber Monday achieved higher sales volumes this year compared to last," says Matt Holmes, Wholesale Furniture Brokers' Marketing Manager. "Everyone couldn't stop smiling at the amount of sales on Cyber Monday. Our best sellers included leather sectionals, dining table pads, modern platform beds, bedroom furniture sets, and recliners. I think we set a great benchmark in 2009. I wonder how other retailers did."

Wholesale Furniture Brokers prepared its USA and Canada websites for the start of the Christmas shopping season with one day sales on Black Friday, Silver Saturday, Golden Sunday, and Cyber Monday. As projected by Wholesale Furniture Brokers, traffic did increase on both websites compared to the same days in 2008. On the USA website this year, traffic increased by 16% on Black Friday, 1% on Silver Saturday, 7% on Golden Sunday, and 24% on Cyber Monday compared to the same days last year. On the Canada website, traffic increased by 61% on Black Friday, 38% on Silver Saturday, 40% on Golden Sunday, and 53% on Cyber Monday compared to the same days in 2008.

On GoWFB.com, the sales volume increased by 86% on Black Friday, 280% on Silver Saturday, 282% on Golden Sunday, and 268% on Cyber Monday compared the same days last year.

According to Matt Holmes, Wholesale Furniture Brokers' Marketing Manager, "The combined sales volume from Black Friday to Cyber Monday helped give Wholesale Furniture Brokers a major boost in revenue for the fourth quarter of the year. We have even prepared the websites for major shopping days in December including Cyber Monday II on December 7 and Cyber Monday III on December 14."

On GoWFB.ca, the sales volume increased by 87% on Black Friday, 80% on Silver Saturday, and 22% on Cyber Monday compared to the same days in 2008. The sales volume decreased by 83% on Golden Sunday.

"The volume of sales on the Canadian website was still a success even if one of the days had a lower percentage of sales compared to last year," adds Holmes.

"We were well prepared for these busy shopping days. We had more sales staff and our promotions were ready ahead of time. Additional management was available to offer additional discounts to customers who had larger orders. During the sales, some of the products were starting to sell out and were put on back order. Customers that ordered a back ordered product will still get the item when new stock arrives since they are still processed in the order they are received," explains Holmes.

Wholesale Furniture Brokers says that the statistics from this year's sales between Black Friday and Cyber Monday will help their marketing team make adjustments and offer better sales for their customers next year. "Shoppers are probably comparing more websites for prices and trying to get better deals now. We want to make sure our customers understand that they are getting a great deal and exceptional customer service when they order from us. We want to be their number one furniture destination online," assures Holmes.
