The Department of Economic development reported that nearly 5 percent of Missouri jobs are “green” related on Thursday. Development officials said 130,000 across Missouri are tied to the field in one way or another and recommend that the state continue to capitalize on this.
The green jobs fell in categories from farming to manufacturing, energy production and civic positions. Overwhelmingly, the jobs were in construction, at over 50 percent.
