Los Angeles, California 12/16/2009/ -- Two private screenings of PUNCTURED HOPE took place this past weekend at the Eastman Kodak Company in Hollywood. Members of the Academy Awards were invited to attend. The screenings, sponsored by Eastman Kodak Company and Canadians Abroad California, were another great success for the film. The events were followed by long applause and by a Q&A period with Director Bruno Pischiutta and with Producer Daria Trifu.
PUNCTURED HOPE is an Academy Awards® 2010 Qualified Feature Film for nomination consideration. Film critics from Variety, the LA Times and the LA Weekly were in attendance. Associate Producer Morris Kuzemchuk, also present, said: “I am moved and truly delighted to witness the peoples’ emotions and sincere appreciation for this great and deserving movie. This film is highly artistic and deeply conceptual. It is especially appreciated and enjoyed by very intelligent and very sophisticated viewers.”
Also in attendance were celebrity Doctor Cheryl Bryantbruce, actresses Jillian Abe and Heidi Selexa. Eastman Kodak Company was represented by Lorette Bayle. Canadians Abroad California was represented by Adriana Orlando.
PUNCTURED HOPE, an Adhara Properties production, is being released theatrically by Toronto Pictures. The film opens at the Laemmle Monica 4-plex Theater (1332 2nd Street, Santa Monica, 90401) on December 18 with daily shows at 4:30 PM and 9:40 PM.
