Hudson Horizons assists eSprout to become first US based company to process Korean eCommerce

eSprout is an interactive language education program that aims to teach Koreans the English language

Hudson Horizons is taking e-commerce by storm with their recent collaboration in helping to make eSprout the first US based company with the ability to process e-commerce transactions in Korea. eSprout is an interactive language education program that aims to teach Koreans the English language, New York City customs, and dialect. Hudson Horizons is a website development and search engine optimization company that provides innovative web-based e-Commerce solutions that allow product and service companies to sell on the Internet.

Enabling Korean e-commerce for an American based online company was a complex, lengthy project in which Hudson Horizons offered eSprout the solutions they needed to make their website successful. The ability for eSprout to process Korean e-commerce was finalized in early December, but the entire process took several months to complete because of all the legalities. According to the United States Embassy, eSprout is the first US based company that processes Korean e-commerce.

During this monumental process, Hudson Horizons provided an e-commerce solution that helped integrate the KGTG Korean payment gateway service to the eSprout website.

Matt Mayernik, Vice President of Web Development, explains “Hudson Horizons was able to facilitate the technological skill set to enable the implementation of solutions, while eSprout was able to coordinate the legal aspects of integration”.

During the information gathering phase of this project, Hudson Horizons made several attempts in dealing with different Korean payment processing companies but was unable to come up with a solution until KGTG. This cutting edge technology enabled Hudson Horizons to allow eSprout to accept Korean payments from Korean students.

After the successful integration, Korean based students can now use Korean based credit cards to process payments for class tuition. In addition, Hudson Horizons was able to develop a wire transfer as a payment option, which is an extremely common payment method in Korea

David Lebowitz, CEO of eSprout, stated "eSprout LLC is proud to launch their commercial web site in both the United States and South Korea. Our site provides an ideal medium in which South Korean students can interact with instructors from the United States for live online English language classes via advanced web conferencing technologies."

Hudson Horizons’ assistance in eSprout becoming the first US based company to process Korean e-commerce is a huge step for e-commerce and provides another advancement for Hudson Horizons web development team.
