New Day Care Academy Opening in Ozaukee County

MEQUON, WI – Kids Rule Academy is set to open in January 2014 and is to be the premier childcare center for the Mequon/Thiensville area, serving all families in the communities of Ozaukee and Milwaukee counties. Kids Rule Academy focuses on education rather than a simple babysitting approach.  The Academy serves preschoolers from 6 weeks old to 5 years old.  Before and after school care is also available for children up to 12 years of age.

Kids Rule Academy is the vision of owner and operator, Alex Mazur. A Mequon resident for over 20 years, Mazur felt dissatisfied with the childcare options that were available for his 3-year old daughter, Aleksandra. Mazur noticed that both small and large childcare centers had caring teachers, yet they did not provide any substantial preschool education. “We want to provide real education for children, not just glorified babysitting,” said Mazur. Mazur also stated: “We wanted to show all other daycare centers in the area what the real Educational Center should be like in 2014.  Therefore, we set up standards bar very high for everyone else to follow”.

The education curriculum at Kids Rule Academy is based on the educational and development philosophies of Reggio Emilia and Dr. Maria Montessori. Mazur believes all children have the ability to learn and they have tailored programs for each child to serve their abilities, interests, and learning needs. Their programs are designed around the concept of meaningful play, which encourages curiosity, discovery, and problem solving while developing a positive self-image. It is Mazur’s goal for Kids Rule Academy to be a place where children can feel safe, eat healthy organic meals, and be educated in a natural way.

Kids Rule Academy security is extensive and has internet-accessible cameras in every classroom, so parents can see their children at any time.  The Academy has the state of the art classroom decorations with very large outdoor play area and a thyme park like indoor playground.  Every teacher has i-Pads handy for instant communication with parents, taking notes during educational process, taking memorable photos and videos of children every day, and for other tutorial purposes.  

Kids Rule Academy is located inside the Christian Life Church building; however, the Academy is non-religious and does not associate with the Church.
