4 Year Old Gets Drunk, Steals Christmas Presents

A 4-year-old Tennessee boy got drunk and stole Christmas presents from a neighbor’s home. Hayden Wright was found around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday wandering the streets of his neighborhood wearing a girl’s dress and drinking a can of beer.

Police took the boy to a hospital for treatment of alcohol consumption. Hayden apparently took the beer from a cooler in his house before sneaking out. Authorities say he stole 5 wrapped presents from an unlocked home.

Hayden’s mother, 21-year-old April Wright, says he often runs away because he wants to be with his father, who is in prison. “He runs away trying to find his father. He wants to get in trouble so he can go to jail because that’s where his daddy is,” Wright explains.

“Kids do things like this and it's out of your control, you can do the best you can as a mother, everyone makes mistakes, it was an honest mistake,” she added.
