Tiger Woods Dropped from Tag Heuer Advertising Campaigns

Tiger Woods has been dropped from U.S. advertising campaigns for the Swiss watch maker Tag Heuer after the company opted to distance itself from the golfer following news of his extra-marital affairs.

While Tag Heuer plans to drop Woods’ image from their U.S. ad campaigns it is not known if they will do the same in other markets. The company has already said they would replace Woods with another recognizable figure, perhaps Leonardo Di Caprio.

Woods has continued to suffer negative press since a seemingly innocent car accident three weeks ago opened door to his personal life. Since that time Woods hasn’t been able to escape the media blitz that has published countless stories detailing his numerous affairs.

That news has led at least two other sponsors to reconsider their deal with Woods as Accenture and Gillette have tried to distance themselves from the golfer.
