Drugmaker Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY) said Friday that Chief Financial Officer Derica Rice will take on new management responsibilities as executive vice president for global services, according to Associated Press.
Rice, who joined the company in 1990, will continue to handle the company's finances and add responsibility for global services, including information technology and quality control.

Prior to becoming Lilly's CFO in 2006, Rice had been the vice president and controller since July 2003.
Shares of Eli Lilly added 17 cents to $35.62 in afternoon trading.
