Miami Heat Forward James Posey Arrested for DUI
The Miami Heat just got Dwyane Wade back after playing nearly seven weeks without their star guard, now they have another obstacle to overcome after starting forward James Posey was arrested and charged with a DUI early Monday morning.
According to the police report Posey was slurring his speech and smelled of alcohol when officers approached his vehicle. Posey had stopped his car on a double-lane road along Miami Beach and was speaking with passing motorists and pedestrians when police asked him to exit his car.
Posey was administered a field-sobriety test which he failed. He was taken to Miami-Dade County jail and eventually released after posting bond. Posey has averaged nearly eight points and five rebounds per game this season for the Heat.
