GOOOH founder, Tim Cox was interviewed Sunday morning by Fox & Friends host Alisyn Camerota and reacted strongly to recent congressional moves in the healthcare overhaul, a plan opposed by 61% of the American people. (Dec.10th CNN poll)
In a recent note to concerned citizens, Cox wrote “What do you call it when a Senator from Louisiana (Landrieu) sells her health care vote for $300 million and then brags about the deal? What term comes to mind when a Senator from Nebraska is threatened by his party that a military base in his state will be closed if he does not vote how he is told?… Bribery, blackmail, and prostitution are the terms I think of. It saddens me to think what our government has become, that these are the words we must use to describe the behavior of our elected officials.”
Cox announced that his organization is gathering support from Tea Party groups all over the country for his method to replace all 435 members of the House of Representatives with citizen candidates. The Abigail Adams Project and Fair Tax Nation have recently endorsed GOOOH.
Wednesday’s Rasmussen poll shows the Tea Party movement has higher favorable ratings than Democrats or Republicans, with 41% either Very or Somewhat Positive. Democrats followed with 35%, Republicans with 28%. In the Fox & Friends interview, Cox said “Tea Party groups, and there are thousands of them across the country… are getting behind what we’re doing… GOOOH is a non-partisan way they can all rally together and we can send true citizen representatives to Washington without special interest money and without career politicians.”
Cox is traveling the country, meeting with different groups to explain his system.
