The Atlanta Falcons have come to terms with former Miami Dolphins quarterback Joey Harrington and have signed the five-year veteran to backup current starter Michael Vick.
Atlanta had been looking for a replacement for former backup Matt Schaub who they dealt to the Houston Texans late last month.
Harrington started 11 games for the Dolphins last season and threw 12 touchdowns and accumulated 2,236 yards passing. The 28-year-old was picked off 15 times as well. His best year came with the Detroit Lions in 2004 when he threw for 3,047 yards and 19 touchdowns but never quite lived up to expectations placed upon him. He was selected by the Lions wit the third pick in the 2002 draft.
