NBA Scores: Orlando Magic Inch Closer to Playoffs with Win Over Bucks
Dwight Howard scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Hedo Turkoglu added 25 points and handed out 6 assists as the Orlando Magic (36-41) beat the Milwaukee Bucks (26-51) 117-94 to increase their advantage to 1 ½ games over the Indiana Pacers for the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference playoff hunt.
The Bucks hung with the Magic through the first quarter and a half but Orlando went on a 23-12 run to take a 57-47 lead.
Milwaukee stayed within seven through the early moments of the third quarter but Orlando took control on a 16-5 run and built an 18 point advantage. By the end of the period the Magic extended their lead to 21.
Orlando led by as many as 27 in the fourth as Trevor Ariza scored 12 points and J.J. Redick added 7 and the Magic shot 62 percent from the floor for the game. Orlando finished with 36 assists in the game compared for 18 for the Bucks.
