Today Serbia’s President Boric Tadic submitted his country’s application to join the European Union.
The country’s bid is dependant on its cooperation with the United Nation’s war crames tribunal for former Yugoslavia. Many EU members are insisting Serbia first arrest fugitives from the Balkan wars, including former Bosnian Serb general Radko Mladic.
"We are doing everything that is possible to arrest them," Tadic told reporters in Stockholm. "If they are on Serbian soil they will be captured."
