The New York Yankees pitching rotation added yet another golden arm as the Atlanta Braves have reportedly dealt right-hander Javier Vazquez to the Bombers for outfielder Melky Cabrera and left-hander Mike Dunn.
Vazquez racked up 238 strikeouts last year, second in the National League, while compiling 15-10 record and posting a 2.87 ERA. Atlanta had an abundance of starting pitching and was looking to deal Vazquez as a means of freeing up some money to address their offensive problems.
As part of the deal the Braves were also sending Boone Logan to the Yankees for $500,000.
