Georgia SoftWorks releases their latest product, the GSW Business Tunnel, to resellers for review. The GSW Business Tunnel is an SSH tunnel that provides businesses secure access to required network services that are often risky due to non-secure locations or services unavailable due to policy configurations. After receiving feedback from resellers, the product will be made available to the general public.
“We want to give our resellers the opportunity to use the Business Tunnel before we release it to the public,” said Doug Hitchcock of Georgia SoftWorks. “It will allow our resellers to stay on the cutting edge of our products and also allow us to receive feedback before the full launch.”
The Georgia SoftWorks team developed the GSW Business Tunnel to help businesses protect their confidential information using SSH Tunneling. On-the-go business people will be able to securely access corporate services from hotels, airports, restaurants, branch offices, home, or any public Wi-Fi. Even when corporate firewalls are not properly configured for inbound connections, the GSW Business Tunnel allows easy in-the-office setup for inbound connections for access from remote locations.
“With traveling employees and companies with multiple branch offices, it is extremely important that employees can access the corporate services, check e-mail, RDP and browse the internet in a secure way without risking the exposure of their information and credentials,” said Doug Hitchcock of Georgia SoftWorks. “The GSW Business Tunnel makes it not only possible, but easy.”
The GSW Business Tunnel uses the strong SSH v2 protocol, which is the security standard for secure server administration, data, and file transfer. By harnessing SSH v2, the Business Tunnel provides strong authentication, secure access, data integrity and some of the best encryptions available.
Secure tunnels are built over a network between the Business Tunnel Software and an SSH Server running on any platform. Each tunnel may contain one or more channels where unencrypted traffic is encapsulated and is sent through the encrypted tunnel providing the needed security to connect from any remote location.
