Katanga Mining Limited (TSX: KAT) has appointed John Ross as the CEO and Director of Katanga. Mr. Ross, who is the current COO, will succeed Steven Isaacs who has resigned as Interim CEO. Mr. Ross will assume the position on January 4, 2010. He will remain a non executive director of the company. Mr. Ross first joined Katanga in May, 2008 to oversee metallurgical operations and the integration of projects. Mr. Ross obtained a B. Eng in Minerals Engineering from the Camborne School of Mines, UK.
