The holidays bring a variety of TV specials. This may be the first season where more holiday shows are available online than via the old TV.
As examples, ABC Family has a library of streaming holiday movies as part of their “25 Days of Christmas” web page. Charlie Brown as multiple specials online for free, including “I Want A Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown” and the classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. The Muppets are not to be out done, as they have “A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa” online.
For holiday musicals, online TV has “A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All”, Carrie Underwood’s “An All-Star Holiday Special”, ABC’s “Christmas at the White House” and “Jennifer Hudson: I'll Be Home for Christmas”.
Martha Stewart has a free series of podcasts on iTunes full of tips for the holidays, including food and crafts. The History channel has additional specials about Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Year's Eve.
