World Poker Tour enters its final phase

WPT or World Poker Tour for this year is finally over.

WPT or World Poker Tour for this year is finally over. After the third day the picture is clear now. Out of the one hundred and thirty participants only thirty-six will move forward to the final phase. The game lasted for almost nine hours. Of this level thirty match lasted for over five hours.

With the conclusion of the match the fate of the last two French players Jean Noël Thorel and Daniel Conte was also decided. There will be no French representation in the next phase of WPT now.  

In the crucial third day match Daniel Alaei defeated World Classic Poker, Doyle Brunson Five Diamond and Toto Leonidas, who was the chip leader of the second day.

Steven Landfish, Toto Leonidas and Josh Arieh became the three players to get over one million token mark. 1998 WSOP or World Series of Poker main event champion also gathered 981.500 chips and now will be able to play in the day four match.

Daniel Conte and Jean Noël Thorel were the last French players at the beginning of the day 3. Among these two Jean Noël Thorel started quite nicely but both of them could not utilize the advantage of their positions. They are among ninety-four other players who will leave the tournament without any money. Among them you will find some common names like Doyle Brunson, Tom Dwan, Mike Matusow, Sorel Mizzi,  and of course Daniel Conte and Jean Noël Thorel.

Now in the next phase remaining thirty-six players will play with others in the knock out matches until the final player is decided. The prize money is $1.428.430! Amazing, isn’t it? Plus the winner will also be able to enter the WPT Bellagio championship where the prize money is $25,000.The grand Las Vegas hotel is ready to welcome the players from across the World.
