Liberty Media Appoints Chris Albrecht as President and Chief Executive Officer of Starz, LLC

Liberty Media Corporation (NASDAQ: LSTZA) has announced that Chris Albrecht, the former Chairman and CEO of HBO, will join Starz, LLC as the President and CEO. Mr. Albrecht will oversee all of Starz entities including Starz Entertainment, Overture Films, Anchor Bay Entertainment and Film Roman. He will assume his new position on January 1, 2010.

Albrecht has spent over 20 years at HBO and was Chairman and CEO from 2002-07. He has spend 7 years working as President of HBO Original Programming which produced series such as Sex and the City, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, Deadwood, Band of Brothers and Entourage.
