Anyone Can Make a Difference this Holiday Season

People looking to make a difference this holiday season can do so right within their own families by giving a student the gift of SuperCamp, a leading summer enrichment program.

Students who attend SuperCamp often arrive sometimes reluctantly not knowing what to expect. In 10 days, seven days for students who attend the Junior Forum program, they leave transformed.

While students gain powerful learning and life skills at SuperCamp, these new skills alone don’t begin to measure the value of the summer educational program. The real and almost immeasurable value comes in how each student feels better about him or herself by the completion of camp and how this increased self-worth permeates the student’s life – from trying harder at school to exploring new areas of interest.

This transformation manifests in other ways, as well. Relationships within the home, which are often strained with teens and tweens, show improvement. And SuperCamp grads are more comfortable taking a stand for what they believe is right when confronted with “should I or shouldn’t I” situations with their peers.

Parents who enroll their sons and daughters in SuperCamp often do so in search of academic help because research shows that over 70 percent of SuperCamp graduates achieve better grades after camp. But many of these same parents say a year or more after camp that the ultimate benefit is seen in their kids' attitudes, relationships, more positive outlook on life, and greater sense of responsibility.

SuperCamp is one of the top academic summer camps, but it's much more than that. It's a transformational moment in a student's life where the individual begins to realize that he is in control of his own future. And this is why parents wanting to make a difference this holiday season need look no further than to their own children and SuperCamp.
