Vancouver Orthodontist Practice Helps Local Holiday Charity Organizations

VANCOUVER, BC — Vancouver orthodontist Dr. Aly Kanani has asked the staff and patients from his Surrey, Langley, and Vancouver practices to join in on spreading tidings of good will by participating in two local British Columbia charities. Dr. Kanani will be donating all food, clothing, toys, and money donations to the Surrey Food Bank and the Langley Christmas Bureau.

Dr. Kanani’s patients at the Guildford
Orthodontics Centre in Surrey participated in the doctor’s food drive for the Surrey Food Bank from November through December 18. Food collected from patients will go directly to the non-profit organization, and in return Dr. Kanani is rewarding patients “good deeds points.”

Dr. Kanani’s gives away “points” throughout treatment to his patients and these points are accrued through good oral hygiene, regular cleaning appointments at their family dentists office, and good deeds among other activities. These points can be redeemed for gift cards, electronics, and other popular prizes.

“This is the second time we’ve hosted a food drive at the Surrey office,” says Dr. Kanani, a
Vancouver Invisalign provider. “Every time we hold this event we see a tremendous response from our patients. They never disappoint and we can’t thank them enough for their contributions.”

Participants in Dr. Kanani’s food drive have also been entered into a drawing for high-end electronics such as a digital camera and other prizes.

As for Dr. Kanani’s colleagues, Dr. Kanani has asked his fellow doctors and office staff to donate funds and toys to the Langley Christmas Bureau. The Christmas Bureau accepts unwrapped gifts for children from newborns through high school students. Financial donations are also accepted and are used to purchase toys, food vouchers, and gift certificates for struggling families. All presents are delivered to the participating families one week before Christmas notes Dr. Kanani.

“The Langley Christmas Bureau is a great non-profit that touches the hearts of so many families in our community,” says the Vancouver
Invisible Braces provider. “Whether you’re receiving gifts from the organization or donating, you can’t help but feel the power of kindness and charity. I’m proud to be a part of a team that so willingly participates in events like this.”
