Blades of Glory Goes for a Triple, Has to Hold off Halle Berry, a Milkshake and John Travolta

Will Ferrell and Jon Heder are looking to put ‘Blades of Glory’ atop the box-office for the third straight week but will have to hold off several newcomers if they are to pull the trifecta.

Academy Award winner Halle Berry returns to the big screen along with Bruce Willis in the thriller ‘Perfect Strangers.’ Berry plays an undercover journalist looking to expose a business man, played by Willis, as her best friend’s killer.

After suffering a marketing nightmare while promoting “Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Film for Movie Theaters,” Cartoon Network will finally put Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad out for moviegoers. This was the promotional campaign that involved blinking devices that caused parts of Boston to shut down while the bomb squad was contacted. As is the case with most movies based on a series, if you don’t follow the show you might have a hard time with the inside jokes and references, but it’s a cartoon so don’t stress too much.

John Travolta, James Gandolfini, Jared Leto and Salma Hayek lead an impressive line-up in “Lonely Hearts.” Based on the true story of Ray Fernandez and Martha Beck, the movie portrays Leto and Hayek as the murderous duo who lure war widows in the late 1940s through personal ads. After meeting and bilking them of their money and possession the pair murdered their victims.
