Aaron Rodgers threw for 237 yards and a touchdown, Ryan Grant rushed for 97 yards and a pair of TDs and Greg Jennings totaled 111 yards receiving as the Green Bay Packers (10-5) rolled over the Seattle Seahawks (5-10) 48-10 on Sunday to clinch a spot in the NFC playoffs.
Green Bay put a pair of touchdowns on the board in the opening frame as Rodgers hit Brandon Jackson on a 13-yard toss for a 7-0 lead and Grant added a 3-yard TD run late in the quarter to push the advantage to 14-0.
The Seahawks managed to get an Olindo Mare field goal early in the second to get within 14-3 but the Packers offense continued to dominate as Grant scored on a 56-yard run and then Mason Crosby tacked on a 29-yard field goal before the half to extend the lead to 24-3.
Green Bay put the game away in the third quarter as Brandon Jackson scored on a pair of runs, a 6-yarder to put the Pack in front 31-3 and then five minutes later a 4-yard run made it 38-3 and the Seahawks were done.
Unfortunately for Seattle the Packers offense wasn’t finished as Crosby added another field goal in the fourth and Ahman Green scored on a 6-yard run to lift the score to 48-3. Seattle would score their only touchdown on a 16-yard pass from Matt Hasselbeck to John Carlson but that was little consolation to the Seahawks QB who was picked off four times on the day.
