Afghan Civilians Killed in Air Strike, School Children Among the Dead

Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai has blamed an air strike carried out by Western forces for the deaths of at least ten civilians, including eight school children.

The air strike, which took place two days ago in Eastern Kunar province, is now being investigated by NATO.

Karzai has been outspoken concerning the deaths of civilians in Western operations, saying it has made his country’s fight against militants more difficult.
