Starkville Apartment Fire Kills 9

A fire at an apartment complex in Starkville, Mississippi left 9 people dead, according to the state fire marshal. The victims were six children ranging in age from 2 to 6, a 25-year-old woman and two 19-year-old girls.

The blaze was first reported around 4:30 a.m. Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire. No other details were available.
