Chris Bosh scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while Joey Graham and Anthony Parker each finished with 19 points as the Toronto Raptors (47-33) beat the New York Knicks (32-48) 107-105 to earn home court advantage in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Steve Francis scored 13 points in the first quarter to keep the Knicks close as Anthony Parker’s 10 points helped the Raptors take a 30-27 lead after one.
It was Eddy Curry who scored 13 in the second quarter for the Knicks who were able to open up a 43-31 lead after opening the quarter on a 14-1 run. By the end of the half the Knicks wee still holding on to a nine point advantage.
Toronto opened the third quarter with a 14-5 run to tie the score. Chris Bosh hit a pair of free-throws with 37 seconds left in the quarter but the Knicks reclaimed the lead with two free-throws from Curry to head into the fourth with a 78-77.
In the fourth quarter the Raptors used a 6-0 spurt to jump up by eight. New York made a run of their own as they used a 9-1 run to pull within one with 1:06 left in the game but Bosh hit a pair of free-throws to push their lead to three.
Francis tipped in a Nate Robinson miss to bring the score to 104-103 but Joey Graham completed a three-point play to seal the game for the Raptors.
Eddy Curry scored 30 points and Steve Francis added 28 in the loss.
