Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) has announced that Motorola Israel, Ltd. will be reducing its work force during the first quarter of 2010. Twenty employees will be let go resulting from the closing of projects and another twenty will also leave as they reach retirement age. The company currently holds under 3,000 employees.

Motorola is engaged in the provision of technologies, products, and services for mobile phones. Satyam Computer Services Ltd. took over Motorola’s software development center in Malaysia in November 2008. It’s Printrak trademark was also sold to Safran SA in November 2008.
