The Pittsburgh Steelers were hoping to have Troy Polamalu back for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins but the safety remains questionable due to concerns about his left knee.
Polamalu has missed the Steelers last six games since injuring the knee and he has yet to make any moves on the leg that would be required during a full-speed game.
The five-time Pro Bowl player could practice this week but coach Mike Tomlin said he would be limited in participation. Pittsburgh is facing a must-win situation against the Dolphins if they are to reach the playoffs.
