Amicas, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMCS) has agreed to be acquired by Thoma Bravo LLC in a cash deal valued at $217 million. Amicas has agreed to the buyout's terms on December 24, 2009 and the deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2010. Under the agreement, Amicas shareholders will receive $5.35 for each outstanding share. The agreement will also give Amicas 45 days to solicit competing bids from potential buyers.
