Nokia, the predominant global phone producer, has upped the ante of its complaints against technological leader, Apple with the US International Trade Commission.
Nokia alleges that Apple has been employing patented technologies of the Finnish Company in order to create elements of the iPod and the corresponding iPhone.
The argument has been raging since Nokia took legal action against Apple in October on the grounds that the touch screen technology of Apple’s iPhone violates 10 of Nokia’s its patents.
Apple has yet to comment on the accusations; however, they have begun counter-proceedings against Nokia insisting the phone maker infringed upon 13 of Apple’s patents in the making of their products including user interfaces, cameras, antennas and management technologies.
The ITC will make a decision on whether or not they will pursue the case over the next month.
