Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport Receives $2.3 million Federal Grant

World News Update by EQUITIES Magazine

To fix one of its runways, the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is receiving a $2.3 million federal grant.

The Federal Aviation Administration reported today that construction is expected to begin in early January and will include repairing concrete slabs and joints to make debris formation less likely to develop on the surface of the runway.

The FAA said it received $1.1 billion from the stimulus program to spend at airports nationwide, and has committed funding to 360 projects.
