World News Update by EQUITIES Magazine

The family of IT consultant Peter Moore, who was seized in Baghdad in May 2007, was relieved and overjoyed at the return of Moore, age 36. Four bodyguards were seized with Mr. Moore: three were shot dead and the fourth is thought to have been killed.

In June 2009, the bodies of Jason Swindlehurst, Jason Creswell were returned to the UK followed by Alex MacLachlan in September. Foreign Secretary David Miliband called for the release of the fourth guard, Alan McMenemy’s, body.

The foreign secretary told the BBC there were no concessions or deals made to secure Mr Moore's release.

"We are so relieved and we just want to get him home, back now to his family and friends,” said Moore’s father, Graeme Moore.
