Tessera Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: TSRA) said Wednesday that the U.S. International Trade Commission has rejected the company’s claims of patent infringement
The ITC did affirm the company’s patents, but found that Tessera, which licenses miniaturization technology for electronics, did not prove that other companies infringed on them.

Those involved, mainly computer memory chip makers, include Acer Inc., Centon Electronics Inc., Elpida Memory Inc., Kingston Technology Co., Nanya Technology Corp., Powerchip Semiconductor Corp., ProMOS Technologies Inc., Ramaxel Technology Ltd., Smart Modular Technologies Inc. and TwinMOS Technologies Inc.
Tessera said it will appeal the decision.
Tessera shares dropped $1.89, or 7.9 percent, to $22 in afternoon trading.
