MathWorks to Purchase Office Building in Mass. For Expansion Plan

MathWorks Inc. announced Wednesday that it has purchased an office building in Natick, MA for $30.8 million, according to Associated Press.

 

The building acquisition is part of an expansion that could create hundreds of new jobs at the engineering software firm.

The 170,000-square-foot building, which was purchased from Atlantic Philadelphia Realty, is located in the same Apple Hill complex as the company's headquarters.

 

MathWorks, which currently owns two buildings at the complex, is also seeking permits to construct a fourth building and create a campus for the company.

 

MathWorks provides software for technical computing and model-based design and has more than 2,000 employees worldwide.
