No Sanjaya Conspiracy on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ as Clyde Drexler Gets Dropped
Proving that moving with grace and ease on a basketball court won’t always translate to the same thing on a dance floor NBA legend Clyde Drexler was the latest cast-off on the popular reality show ‘Dancing with the Stars’
After constantly finishing with the lowest scores from the judges yet surviving the audience vote each week there was nothing Drexler could do to save himself from his performance on Monday night.
For the past few weeks it appeared as if Drexler was doing everything he could to get voted off the show yet he managed to find himself dancing the next week. That all ended after his rhumba with partner Elena Grinenko garnered a 13 out of 30 and left voters little choice when it came time to vote.
On Tuesday night voters proved that there wasn’t room for two Sanjaya Malakar’s on television as they booted the NBA champion from the show. Malakar, of ‘American Idol’ fame, has survived each week despite below average performances on the singing competition. It probably worked out well for Drexler, next week the contestants are set to participate in a group swing.
