GM had previously said it was giving companies until Thursday to make an offer for Saab. Earlier this month, the automaker decided that it would do away with the brand.
GM has been in talks over Saab for the last month with Spyker Cars and has also heard from other Saab bidders after an attempt to sell the brand fell through in November.
