Ugandan Army Kills Senior Commander of LRA

The Ugandan army has said they have killed a senior commander of the rebel movement Lord’s Resistance Army.

According to officials Bok Abudema, along with one of his rebels, was killed on Friday while two women found with the men were freed. The Ugandan army has been aggressively tracking the LRA for more than a year in an attempt to destroy the militants.

While forces have managed to capture or kill several LRA militants their leader, Joseph Kony, remains on the move.
