Tony Romo was 24/34 passing for 311 yards and two touchdowns, Felix Jones and Marion Barber each rushed for 91 yards and Patrick Crayton had 99 yards receiving and a TD on four catches as the Dallas Cowboys (11-5) crushed the Philadelphia Eagles (11-5) 24-0 on Sunday to clinch the NFC East title and lock up a home-field advantage against Philly in next week’s playoff rematch.
Romo got the Cowboys on the board in the opening frame when he found Jason Witten on a 10-yard touchdown pass. That score was pushed to 14-0 midway through the second as Romo hooked up with Crayton on a 14-yard touchdown and then Shaun Suisham sent the Cowboys into the half up 17-0 when his field good split the uprights from 44-yards out.
The Cowboys defense continued to dominate the Eagles in the second half and Dallas managed to put the game away when Felix Jones found a hole and went 49 yards for a touchdown late in the third.
Philly managed just 228 yards of total offense, 37 of those yards were on the ground and the Eagles offense collected just 10 first downs on the day. The Cowboys offense was so dominant that they had the ball more than 20 minutes longer than the Eagles.
