The one and done act will hit Ohio State on Friday when freshman Greg Oden, Mike Conley Jr., and Daequan Cook all declare for the NBA draft. Their decision will be made public in a news release made on Friday.
Oden, who averaged 15.7 points and 9.6 rebounds per game is expected to be the number one draft pick on June 28. If not the number one selection Oden is almost certain to be a top two pick.
Both Conley Jr. and Cook will announce their intentions of entering the draft but will more than likely not hire an agent to represent them. This will allow them the ability to return to Ohio State if they don’t feel they will be drafted in a favorable position.
Conley has been touted as the drafts top point guard in the draft and could easily find himself a spot in the top ten. Cook is likely to find that he ill be left off many NBA team boards come draft day.
All three freshman played key roles in the Ohio State run that placed them in the NCAA championship game against the Florida Gators.
