Sharon Osbourne, wife of legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, will replace Brandy Norwood on the mixed-bag reality show ‘America’s Got Talent.’ Osbourne already has some experience with reality television as she starred in one of MTV’s most successful shows to date “The Osbournes.” As for judging competitions, Osbourne handled the power of authority on “The X Factor” where she joined Simon Cowell of ‘American Idol’ fame as a judge on the British talent show.
The loss of Grammy Award winner Brandy Norwood comes as no surprise due to the singer’s potentially busy summer in court. Brady was involved in a fatal car accident that killed a woman on a Los Angeles freeway in December and a decision to charge the 28-year-old in the accident has yet to be determined. Brandy is named in a pair of lawsuits relating to the death of the woman.
While Osbourne will replace Brandy and join David Hasselhoff and Piers Morgan in the judges chair the show will also get a new host. Regis Philbin will be stepping down and Jerry Springer will be stepping in. Philbin, who is recovering from triple bypass surgery, felt he needed to take it easy.
