“Disturbia” Takes Top Spot at Box-Office, Holds Off “Fracture” and “Blades of Glory”

For the second week in a row the teen thriller “Disturbia” took the top spot at the box-office, pulling in $13.5 million in ticket sales over the weekend. The Shia LaBeouf film has now brought its ten-day total to $40.7 million.

The new Anthony Hopkins, Ryan Gosling flick “Fracture” grabbed the number two spot in its weekend debut with $11.2 million at the ticket counter.

While the top two spots went to thrillers, the comedy “Blades of Glory” continued to prove people still enjoy laughing. The Will Ferrell, Jon Heder movie brought in another $7.8 million, pushing its total past the $100 million mark.

Following close behind “Blades” was the new film staring Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale, “Vacancy.” The horror/thriller brought in $7.6 million to fall short of expectations.
