Skilled Wizard Launches to Connect Skilled Workers and Employers Instantly

Skilled Wizard helps skilled workers find the right jobs with the right employers, utilizes the latest technology to connect the right candidates with the right employers in real-time, and streamlines the recruitment and hiring process for small, medium, and large-sized businesses.

The website SkilledWizard.com has recently launched to help skilled workers “hit the ground running” with their employment search. Best of all, it makes it quick, easy, and way more affordable for employers to find the talent they need, right when they need it.

Outsourcing, Job Boards, and Recruiters Are Not the Solution

There is a well known difficulty in attracting and retaining highly skilled trade workers. For the past several years, the most challenging segment of the workforce to staff with the necessary talent has been the skilled trades. With 53 percent of all skilled trades workers in the United States today over the age of forty-five and 18.6 percent between the ages of fifty-five to sixty-four, within the next two decades, the United States will lose a large percentage of their trade workers, such as welders, machinists, plumbers, and electricians.

America's response to the shrinking number of skilled trade workers thus far has been to outsource their search and to provide incentives to inexperienced laborers to take over these jobs. But these aren't real solutions. In fact, there are thousands of eager skilled trades workers in this country today who are trying to connect with the right employers, but who have gone ignored due to overburdened Human Resources departments or lack of access to the right employers.
Job boards, resume hosting sites, and recruiters—while can be good in some cases—have been shown to be largely inefficient and ineffective when it comes to the recruitment of skilled workers, particularly the skilled trades. Not only can it get unnecessarily expensive and drawn out, but also, hiring managers receive way too many applications from both qualified and unqualified candidates and generally don't have the time or expertise to go over and sort through each one properly. The result: candidates are selected from only a fraction of the resumes received, meaning talented and qualified candidates are pushed to the sidelines and ignored.

Learning from Social Media and Creating Jobs

While sitting in a small cafe in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in May 2012, founders John Ducar and Sebastian Skwarek came up with their cutting edge first-to-market solution for skilled workers and employers: Skilled Wizard. Through this free-to-join website and its new resource center, over 300 million skilled workers from around the globe will be able to instantly connect with their peers, as well as the companies who are interested in employing them.
“We are excited and itching to build our customer base,” Ducar said. “We poured our heart into improving the accessibility of this population. Our goal has been to fix the inefficiencies of the employment process and we know we have completed a major step with the success of our launch.”

The website allows skilled workers to “promote” themselves and connect with companies in a proactive and engaging online environment, streamlining the entire recruitment and hiring process. This not only saves time, but it saves costs for both employers and job candidates.

“There will be many more steps to come and we will be relentless until we accomplish this for all,” promises Ducar. As technology continues to evolve and improve, it is undeniable just how much of a growing asset Skilled Wizard will become for skilled workers and their employers to connect and move businesses forward.
