BMC Software Inc. (NYSE: BMC) announced Thursday that the software company has acquired privately-held Phurnace Software, according to Associated Press.
Financial terms were not disclosed.

Phurnace develops software that helps customers cut the cost, complexity and risk of introducing new Java-based applications in their information technology systems.
BMC Software plans to embed Phurnace’s automation technology into its BMC BladeLogic Server Automation Suite.
