Basinger Denies Leaking Baldwin Voicemail Calling Daughter “Thoughtless Little Pig.”
Kim Basinger has denied claims made by former husband Alec Baldwin that she leaked a voicemail that he had sent to their 11-year-old daughter. In the voicemail Baldwin berates his daughter, Ireland, for not answering a scheduled phone call. Baldwin ripped into the girl, calling her a “thoughtless little pig” and threatened to fly out to New York, so that he may “straighten your ass out.”
As a result of the voicemail, Baldwin was ordered to stay away from his daughter until a May 4 court hearing.
Baldwin and Basinger have bee going through an ugly custody battle since their marriage fell apart in 2002. Basinger was called a “thoughtless pain in the ass” on the message.
Annett Wolf, Basinger’s publicist released a statement contesting Baldwin’s claim that his ex leaked the message saying "Kim Basinger did not release the voicemail.”
The statement continued “Everybody is always asking why this custody battle has been going on for so many years, and now they have the answer. The issue is not about Kim or the alleged alienation that Alec constantly refers to; it is about his ongoing aggressive behavior.”
“Kim's sincerest wish is for him to finally address his unstable and irrational behavior so he, at some point, can potentially create a relationship with his daughter. Until then, Kim will continue to protect and safeguard her child's well-being as any parent would.”
