Bus Carrying Togo’s National Football Team Hit by Gunfire

The bus carrying Togo’s national football team from the Democratic Republic of Congo to Angola was hit by several rounds of gunfire on Friday, injuring at least two players.

There have been some reports that have suggested serious injuries but those are unconfirmed. The identities of those injured have not been released.

Togo is scheduled to open play in the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola on Monday. The tournament begins on Sunday.
